Research Interests

My research is multidisciplinary and transdisciplinary, addressing a broad range of transportation challenges through advanced statistical modeling, machine learning and deep learning, and GIS/GeoAI applications. It centers on traffic safety and transportation planning, with a methodological emphasis on:

  • Data science
  • Advanced quantitative modeling
  • Qualitative systems modeling
  • Geospatial analytics and GeoAI
  • Emerging computational methods

The goal throughout is to better understand transportation systems and human behavior, improve safety, and support data-driven, effective transportation planning and decision-making. You can see more on my Research page.
